Geduld, geduld…
Nog een weekje, dan is het zover. Maandag acht mei gaan we eindelijk naar Japan. Nog nooit zijn we zo lang bezig geweest met het voorbereiden van een buitenlandse reis. Daardoor lijkt het langer te duren totdat het werkelijk tijd is om te vertrekken.
De tassen zijn gepakt, reservering van camper en appartement gecontroleerd en geld is besteld. Ook hebben we ons rijbewijs uitgebreid met een IDP, een International Driving Permit. In Nederland haal je die gewoon bij de ANWB voor een paar tientjes. Het is een aanvulling op je nationale rijbewijs die overal ter wereld erkend wordt en een vereiste om een auto te kunnen huren in Japan.
